My recent Silk Road trip with Patch Advetures was brilliant! So well organised and communicated and our local guides were extremely knowledgeable, really showing us an authentic glimpse of their countries. This trip was full of variety - fabulous landscapes, amazing history and such special times spent with the locals. Since returning i have been recommending Patch to a number of my friends, and I cant wait to do another one!

I've just returned from the Patch September/October 2024 trip to Iran. I've dreamed about going there for so long, I never thought it would happen. The trip exceeded my expectations. Knowing that you are going to ancient sites like Persepolis, visiting an abandoned village, or staying in a caravanserai cannot really be understood until you are there. Our guide Vahid went above and beyond to make sure we saw and did as much as possible. Of course, there was time to stop for lattes and for wandering markets and bazaars - what's a holiday without some shopping?! The cooking class, picking pomegranates from a tree, having a picnic in Esfahan along with hundreds of Iranian families, the hotels (which were excellent), having a carrot juice and vanilla ice-cream in Shiraz and the many unexpected things we saw and did made this trip surprisingly wonderful. Having said that, the best part was the chance to talk to Iranians of all ages who were unfailingly welcoming, generous and hospitable.

My 23 Day Tour of the Balkans by Train, with Patch Adventures, has come to an end. The adventure far exceeded my expectations and has given me memories I will never forget. It was excellently organised, and every aspect of the tour was of a high standard. Yes, it was tiring at times, but I would not have missed this amazing opportunity to visit all the Balkan states for anything. The rich reward it gave me was worth it. A special mention to our brilliant and gracious Guide and Tour Leader, Flutra, who was so instrumental in making our journey so enjoyable. So many highlights on this journey of discovery, but those where we engaged with locals who invited us into their homes, and the times we were guided through the cities by local guides who have so much pride and hope, held special significance for me. Oh, and the train rides. What an experience. Loved them. I will look back on this Tour as one of my "trips of a lifetime".

What an amazing 24 day Silk Road and 4 Stans experienc. A busy, exhilarating and well planned tour with top quality guides who love their countries and sharing their cultures. Using “Polarsteps” app to write my journal and up date family and friends elicited comments of “WOW”. They couldn’t believe all the things we did. So much fun! Most impressive was the integrity of Patch Adventures. There were no hidden costs, the itinerary and expectations were clearly explained (if you really read it), communication was open and support from our guides and Patch staff was impressive. What can I say? Can’t wait to do another Patch tour.

I recently returned from the Morocco trip. The staff at Patch are so supportive and thoughtful. They maintain contact before the trip so you know what to expect and introduce you to your fellow travelers via whatsapp. From the moment you arrive and are picked up by the driver holding your name, the care and consideration of every aspect was amazing - quality hotels, authentic Riads, and warm and welcoming locals who invited us into their homes. Morocco is a beautiful contrasting country and we had so many different experiences from camping in the Sahara (amazing night), exploring the medina in Fes, the beautiful city of Chefchaouen (if you wear red for your photos it's a great contrast), hiking part way up North Africa's highest mountain, exploring ancient Volubilis and bustling Marrakesh to name a few. What really makes Morocco even more inspiring is the people...every guide along the way, every place we stayed, and our friendly driver, Moussa who greeted us with a big smile every morning. The guide Manale is the most amazing woman...knowledgeable and passionate about her country. She really did go out of her way to make sure we had the best time. I could not fault any part of the trip.

I cannot speak highly enough of my Patch adventure in Japan. Lauren led the group impeccably, catering to everyone's needs and always ensuring that everyone was happy. Her knowledge of Japan was thorough and interesting and shared appropriately, enhancing our experience. The group of women on this tour were all amazing, and the group dynamic was loads of fun. We shared many laughs and created wonderful memories together. The experiences we had were nothing short of spectacular. From the breathtaking views of Mt Fuji to the scenic Nakasendo Way walk, every moment was special. Meeting the AMA divers was a unique highlight, and the food experiences were simply delightful. I highly recommend this tour to any fun-loving over 60s. It's an adventure filled with culture, camaraderie, and countless memorable moments.

Angelie Easo. I have just returned from Morocco in April. Everyday was better than the previous one. A favorite moment I will cherish forever, was sitting on the dunes in Merzouga Sahara with friendly Berber men. Manal our tour guide, was amazing and gave us a good insight into the proud Amazigh culture. I will definitely be doing another Patch tour. They are definitely worth it!
