Rebeca Newton: Founder & Owner
Travel is in Rebeca’s blood — in fact, her very first job was with Avianca, the largest airline in Latin America. She didn’t look back, moving from that job to start TourismTiger(opens in a new tab), a web design company for tour operators with her husband, Matthew.
It was while running TourismTiger that Rebeca met operators from all over the world and got to see the travel industry from a perspective that outsiders are simply not shown on a day-to-day basis. The light-bulb moment was inevitable, and it came at the start of 2019. With so many relationships with incredible providers all over the world, why not put that to good use to create the most fantastic experiences possible?
She’s always been attracted to the sense of community that the tourism setting can provide. The idea of bringing like-minded women together to experience the trip of a lifetime is what gets her imagination soaring and what Patch Adventures is all about.
Rebeca has created the tours by actually visiting the places, interviewing the guides, meeting the people, and trying the food for herself. She’s also hand-picked a team of scouts — knowledgeable travel creators who are deeply connected and understand how to create the perfectly balanced trip — who are also hunting the globe for the best experiences.
