I am so thrilled I chose to go on the Patch Adventures trip to Oman recently. This was such a mix of fast paced touring balanced with a chance to relax most afternoons or take the opportunity to explore further on your own, or with your new found friends. Our guide was such an ambassador for his country and people - he was so knowledgeable and so much fun to be around. Our drivers became our friends and also helped make the trip so enjoyable. From visiting the incredibly beautiful mosques and other buildings, wandering around village ruins from yesteryear, swimming in the most beautiful wadis and beaches, riding camels, photographing stunning scenery and shopping in the soups - plus so much more. I loved it all! The smells of the frankincense, the aromas of oud, the diversity of the local people (and their friendliness) - This is truly a trip for all the senses. I would do the whole lot again in a heartbeat. I chose to stay on a few days after the tour and one of the things I got to do was to visit the stunning Dimaniyat Islands with its mesmerising water colours. This was so worthwhile too. A big thank you to Patch and their wonderful tour guide Amit as well. We were so well taken care of. A beautiful group of women to experience this with also. Something I will never forget!

Vietnam Christmas... 2023! Fun, fantastic fun! A big thankyou to our tour guide Ms Chi, for making this an exceptional holiday! Food, fabulous food ! All fresh. plentiful and delicious! Different adventures every day.. scooter rides around food markets. Boating down the Mekong, stopping at small villages along the way. Resorts and hotels.. Hospitality with a capital H! Experiencing the traffic in Hanoi, to cruising around Halong Bay, learning Vietnam history (very sobering!) to having a massage at a resort. Singing Kareoke and enjoying a New years Eve with wine and buffet. A brilliant start to 2024! Ms Chi... thanks again for making this trip so wonderful. Susan B

I have just returned from my trip to Vietnam over Christmas and New Years that I booked through Patch Adventures. Organized tours always provide such a wealth of places to go to and foods to try. The lady organizers were very easy to talk to and if they couldn't answer a question immediately, they would get back to you. I would never have had seen so much or eaten so much if I hadn't gone on such a great tour! So much to see and do. Met up with some great lady travelers who also helped to make the whole experience just that much more exciting. Miss Chi our tour guide was just perfect. Nothing was too hard for her. If we asked her a question and she didn't know the answer, she would chat with the locals and get back to us. Very approachable and friendly, she always had a smile on her face. Mr Son, another guide, took us back to the airport was also a wealth of information. Would absolutely recommend using Patch for your next trip away.

I have just come back from the Patches Christmas, New Year tour of Viet Nam, and I rate it 6 out of 5 stars. I had the best holiday ever, great food, great accomodation, great company and great experiences. our guide Miss Chi was absolute gold and I can't recommend her highly enough for her love and care of us all.

The trip to Vietnam was brilliantly organised and the accommodation was fantastic. Our guide Miss Chi was fabulous - she looked after us, kept us informed and is a genuinely fantastic human being. I'm looking for my next Patch adventure!!

I had the privilege of doing the Mongolian Winter tour with Patch Adventures in 2023/24. No. I’m not crazy! Yes. I know it’s cold. COLD!! But sometimes stepping out of your comfort zone to experience the authenticity of a country when it is most unspoilt by tourists is exactly what you need to do and Mongolia did not disappoint. What I really appreciated with Patch were things like the included transfers, included meals (horse meat tastes like tough beef, in case you were wondering!), transport & including experiences like dog sledding, horse riding, eagle hunting (with them, not hunting them) and the eagle festival. Loved it all. I ended up spending less than $100 on incidentals if you don’t include those cashmere sweaters. And one should never include luxury shopping as an expense. They were merely a way for me to boost the local economy! Loved staying in the family gers. Loved the desolate plains of snow and ice, loved the people, loved the experiences, the history and culture and am so blessed that trips like this exist, especially for women who can be more vulnerable out in the big wide world. Really appreciated the trip to a local orphanage too. It was wonderful to see how happy those kids are and Patch’s support of these programs is good for the soul and cause. No trip is perfect and you will face challenges (3 pairs of socks is STILL not enough to keep your feet warm!) but this trip is meant to be as far removed from your everyday so just embrace it. Drink the milk tea. Eat the horse. Smell like mutton. Wear the same clothes for days on end. Pee in the snow. Embrace it. Definitely one of my most favourite trips ever. 100% recommend you do it. A tip though- do some research first. Buy boots bigger than you need to accommodate layers. Take a visit to the department store in Ulaanbaatar and buy great priced cashmere, yak gloves, lamb’s wool shoe inserts and ski gear. Maybe stay off the vodka! And when the fire is on, coal burns HOT so you won’t nearly be as cold as you think you would be at night. Do it. Mongolia in winter is definitely a winner.

Have just returned from Vietnam for the Patch Christmas/New Year trip. Absolutely amazing, if you can say "This is my favourite day so far" and then find that you're doing it just about every day - that says a lot! Our trip leader, Miss Chi was thoughtful, knowledgeable and steered us through the culture (plus the Hanoi/Saigon traffic!) with grace and kindness. Highlights for me would be the Red Bridge Cooking class as the food was amazing, the Heritage cruise for its amazing scenery and ambience on the boat, Hoi-an for it's amazing street food and shopping, and the ride along the Mekong delta checking out how the local people work and live. Would definitely recommend this itinerary with Patch and will be looking for more adventures in other areas. Thanks so much.

I have just returned from the Vietnam Christmas Patch Adventure and what a wonderful time was had. Our tour guide Miss Chi was a gentle, generous and enthusiastic host to take us through this beautiful country. The inclusions and itinerary were top notch. Being able to witness the Christmas celebrations in Hanoi (and join in with some) added to the experience and what a great time to visit. Along the way there were little surprises and treats which were unexpected and that added to the feeling of a well thought out and considered tour. Whilst initially worried about the prospect of sharing a room with a stranger, the efforts that Lou and the team put into matching made this a complete non-event for me. Locations visited were fabulous (highlights being our overnight cruise on Halong Bay, Hoi An and the Cooking school and a street food tour on the back of a motor bike). If you are considering a company that delivers what it promises and then exceeds them, then I would recommend Patch Adventures and without doubt, take a look at their Vietnam offering

The trip to Mongolia in the winter was a once in a lifetime experience. From 5 star hotel to basic Ger living, it was a trip of extremes, adventure and fun. The Mongolian families are welcoming and friendly but be prepared for "basic". All I can say is prepare well and hang on and enjoy the ride, this trip is not for the fainthearted but well worth the challenge of sledding through the snow and trotting on big fat short hairy horses. Living with Eagle Hunters for a few days and sharing their way of life is beyond special so if you are looking for an adventure that is different and challenging at times, this is the one for you.

Had a fantastic time in the Maldives. Tour leader - Kamey was great, gave us lots of time & helped us with so many areas that were required. Can't wait to get back, book my ticket now🤭
