As a widow of two years, and having never travelled in a group before, I was looking for a company that I felt really comfortable with. I'm so glad I chose Patch Adventures and the India Holi trip as they, and the trip, exceeded my expectations beyond my wildest dreams. The communication with Courtney and Farrah prior to and after the trip was excellent. We shared phone calls and emails about everything needed for the trip, including visas, travel medications, tipping information, itinerary and so much more. A WhatsApp was set up by the company two weeks before departing so that we could get to know a little bit about our fellow travellers. The trip itself was so amazing for a number of reasons....our guide Anjali was exceptional- friendly, knowledgeable, fun and caring. She sorted everything out with travel arrangements, hotel check-ins, tipping, extra information about our daily activities and was with us throughout.A lot of thought, by Patch, goes into designing this amazing 19 day trip in the places we visited, the hotels we stayed in, the activities we participated in and the transport that took us over a large part of India (12 seater bus, train ride, domestic flights, tuk tuks, rickshaw rides etcWe saw and did some wonderful things - city palaces, ancient forts, the Taj Mahal, Tiger safari, spice markets, local markets, two boat rides on the Ganges, a farm visit, women hand making beautiful silk and wool rugs, village visits and of course the actual Holi festival where we danced, ate and got covered in multiple powdered colours. It was very busy but I wouldn't have missed a thing.I can't recommend Patch highly enough and will definitely be travelling with them again.India is an amazing country and through

Just returned from a great adventure to Finland and the beautiful snow white (literally) Lapland. There was a great bunch of women from Australia and New Zealand. Nanna our guide was supportive and organised. She was caring and very knowledgeable. She fitted in so well, just one of the crew. I big thank you to her and the rest of the ladies for helping to make this trip “one to remember”. The highlights among others would be the Husky sled drive, kick sledding and plunging into the freezing Baltic Sea. A great experience. Of course, the main course was the beautiful and mesmerising Aurora Borealis. We were well fed and hotels had great views of the frozen lakes.Thank you to Patch for providing a great trip. I am happy to highly recommend Patch.

Hi, I’ve recently returned from a Patch Adventure tour of Nepal. I’ve always wanted to visit Nepal and finally “bit the bullet”,as the saying goes. It was my first tour with Patch and having booked, began to worry about visiting a Third World Country ( illness, safety etc. concerns). I needn’t have worried, from the “get go”,Patch assigned a personal coordinator, who was always available and called me before confirming my booking to make sure the trip was a good fit for me. Such personal care and detailed information prior to the tour, I have never experienced before. The tour itself was beyond my expectations, from our carefully chosen tour guide, accomodations, cultural experiences down to little extras that our tour guide popped in when unexpected opportunities presented themselves. The food was deliciously fresh, no one got the dreaded diarrhoea and any squat toilet encounters (only one or two) were clean. Of course, Kathmandu traffic was chaotic, but so very interesting and The Moonlight Hotel a “home away from home” with great cocktails! Everyday was well paced, although I did sleep well at night! Thank you to all at Patch who put together this tour. I’m a Patchie now and will definitely look to do more tours.

I've recently returned from the India Holi Golden Triangle tour & I'm still buzzing. That was the trip of a lifetime & I'm very grateful to Patch & our tour guide Anjali for making it all so easy. I received very detailed info about every aspect of the tour from pick up at the airport on arrival right through to phone, money, meals that were provided etc so there were no unexpected surprises. Anjali our guide was supportive, organised, knowledgeable, great fun, warm & caring. We all agreed that we were exceptionally lucky to have her lead the way. I highly recommend this company and that particular tour. It truly was the trip of a lifetime.

My recent trip to Sri Lanka was 5 stars plus. I was met at the airport at 11.30pm with no problems. Leaving the airport I suddenly realised I hadn’t gone to the ATM machine but the driver kindly stopped at one on the way to the hotel.Highlights of the trip included the high tea, Dambulla Cave Temples, Sigiriya Rock, seeing elephants and a leopard on safari, two local dinners with families, to name a few. Helga’s Folly was a real treat. I knew nothing about her before the visit but spent that night engrossed in finding as much as I could about her on the internet. Our guide Nima was wonderful. Often when travelling she’d stop at various fruit & vege stalls on the side of the road so we could sample exotic fruits that we hadn’t tried before. If we stopped at a supermarket for a toilet stop, Nima would buy goodies for us to sample. She also arranged a surprise stop where they made ‘dodol’. Very moreish. She mentioned a really good book that she’d read - The Road From Elephant Pass. Of course we all wanted a copy! So she spent the entire trip hunting down a copy for each of us.Accommodation exceeded my expectations. All but two hotels had pools. The buffet breakfasts were exceptional. Most had ‘egg stations’ where you could have eggs cooked to your liking. In fact all the meals were outstanding! There was nowhere where I thought the food was too spicy. I even brought home some red rice.I loved Sri Lanka and the diversity. It’s a country I recommend visiting.

Vietnam with Patch Adventures - Outstanding from Start to Finish I've just returned from Patch's 2025 Christmas/New Year Vietnam adventure and I'm still buzzing. From the moment we arrived, the itinerary felt beautifully paced, thoughtful, and full of unforgettable experiences. Our guide, Miss Chi, was exceptional, warm, generous, and endlessly enthusiastic. She made every experience feel personal, whether navigating the energy of Hanoi and Saigon or sharing stories over bowls of pho. Claire and the Patch team were equally impressive behind the scenes, with seamless organisation and my roomie was an absolute angel. Christmas Eve in Hanoi was a highlight, from dancing with locals and riding the train through the Old Quarter to discovering incredible places to eat and drink. Vietnamese coffee quickly became a daily ritual, and the restaurants and cafés Patch chose were outstanding, with our tables constantly overflowing with fresh, flavour-packed dishes that showcased the best of Vietnamese cuisine. Highlights included a hands-on cooking class at Tra Que Organic Village, a relaxed yet flavour-packed cycle food tour through local neighbourhoods, and an exhilarating motorbike street food tour. The markets were a sensory overload in the best way, from fresh meat, fish, toads, earthy herbs, shouting vendors, and vibrant produce packed into narrow, buzzing aisles. The outstanding scenery from Ninh Binh, Phong Nha caves, lakes and rivers were jaw dropping stunning. The overnight cruise on Lan Ha Bay was pure serenity, with a Vovinam (tai chi) session on the deck on Boxing Day. Hoi An delighted at every turn with lantern making, custom clothing made to fit, and exceptional food. In the Mekong Delta, we experienced the gentle rhythm of local life, from making rice pancakes to travelling by sampan and tuk-tuk and eating elephant fish in a local village. I also want to address a recent negative review about this tour. Having been on the same trip, I can say that the account presented does not reflect the experience of the group. The situation in question was managed early in the tour due to clear safety and group dynamics, and Patch handled it professionally, respectfully, and with care for everyone involved. The claims made on Google do not match what I personally witnessed during the tour. The people of Vietnam were incredible, hardworking, generous, and warm which made every experience feel extra special. The group of women I travelled with was amazing, supportive, and full of energy, making the whole adventure even more memorable. Even the traffic became part of the charm, chaotic, fascinating, and somehow poetic. Patch doesn't just deliver on its promises; it exceeds them. If you're looking for culture, connection, incredible food, and a touch of adventure, I can't recommend Patch's Vietnam itinerary highly enough. Rowena Richards

Prague to Budapest Christmas Markets 2025 trip I would highly recommend this tour - For someone who is not really into Christmas, the trip was fantastic. So much more than just the amazing Christmas markets in historic cities, had time to site see the famous locations through out the tour. This was my first group tour and Christmas time in Europe. Great group of amazing women to travel with. Was not a rigid itinerary, had flexibility in what the group or individuals did. Our tour guide was just fabulously wonderful, ask for our thoughts and opinions. Had a great deal of knowledge about all places we visited. Gave us the budget for included meals and let us choose from the menu - no set menus. This was great being a vegetarian, vegan meals were available throughout the trip. I am planning on doing more trips with Patch Adventures, I think Mongolia will be next.
