You know those butterflies of excitement you get when your best friends’ flight is about to touch down at the airport? Well, multiply that feeling by a thousand… because our new North American sister adventure travel brand, Harriet Adventures has just landed!

*North American women can now have the same travel experiences our Aussie and Kiwi Patchies love – the kind with memories that last a lifetime!*

So how did this all come about?

Well over the past five years since we’ve been running Patch’s small group women’s cultural adventures, we’ve been receiving an increase in enquiries from +45-year-old women in the US and Canada.

Many had heard about our trips through Aussie and Kiwi friends and wanted to travel to far-flung destinations like them too – in fact some of them did, on Patch trips!

And the more conversations we had with them, the more things started to sound strangely familiar…

These women shared with us that:

Big bus tourism just wasn’t their thing – smaller suited them better
They wanted to really experience a destination, not just scratch the surface
They wanted grittier, off-the-beaten path adventures too – not run-of-the-mill tourist trails
Connecting with other like-minded women and making new friendships was important to them

So, who are we to deny our North American sisters what they want?!

Enter, Harriet Adventures!

But, why now?

Well, last year our parent company, Leatherback Travel hit two major milestones:

We officially became Australia’s fastest growing travel company
We had our best year ever for guest satisfaction

Already this year we’ve had more repeat guests coming back to book with us on 2026 and 2027 trips than we ever have, so it doesn’t just feel like we’ve grown, it feels like we’ve grown UP.

Which is why now, just feels right!
